Can you believe it’s been well over a year since we became Hearthwood Design + Build? It feels like the perfect time to pull back the curtain and share what’s been happening: the changes, the projects, and what’s next.
From The Greenovator Corp to Hearthwood Design + Build
Since 2009, we operated under our corporate name, The Greenovator Corp, taking on commercial, industrial, and residential work. But somewhere along the way, we realized where our hearts really were: residential design and build. We love getting to know homeowners, understanding how they actually live in their space, and helping them fall in love with their home all over again.
So we made the leap, narrowed our focus, and became Hearthwood Design + Build. A year in, it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made! We get to pour all our energy into the kind of projects we’re most passionate about, and it shows in the work.
Meet the Team
Last fall, we welcomed a few new faces to the Hearthwood family, and we couldn’t be happier with how well we all work together:
- Owen: our construction helper, bringing an extra set of hands to every job site
- Sarah: keeping our books in order and our business running smoothly
- Stephanie: the friendly voice (and inbox) behind our customer care, making sure every client feels heard and supported from the first inquiry onward
Having the right people in place has made a real difference! Not just in how much we can take on, but in how smoothly every project runs.
What We’re Working On
Right now, we’re deep into a stunning heritage home renovation in Edmonton. It’s the kind of project that comes with its own unique challenges and charm, and one we’re genuinely excited to share more about as it comes together.
We also just wrapped up a beautiful kitchen renovation that we cannot wait to show you in full. Stay tuned for the reveal!

- completing a beautiful fireplace build in a timeless, transitional style
- creating a stunning spa bathroom with a custom shower
- renovating 2 bathrooms that haven’t been updated since the 70s
- completing a full basement renovation from the studs up
- wrapping up a full home renovation in a budget-friendly but timeless style
Introducing: Classic Bathroom Design Packages
This year, we launched something we’re really proud of: our Classic Bathroom Design Packages! It’s a budget-friendly way to renovate your bathroom without sacrificing style. Think classic, timeless design that won’t feel dated in five years, at a price point that makes sense. We’ve already executed a few of these packages for happy clients, and we’re excited to keep offering this option to homeowners who want a beautiful bathroom without a custom-scope budget.
Booking Update
We’re almost fully booked for the year! Our next available window for a renovation project is November 10 – December 18, after which we’ll be booking into 2027.
